Brighton Gay Pride

Brighton as a city is open minded and relaxed with a reputation for being accepting as a community.  Due to this the city has fast become known as the most gay-friendly city in the UK, now boasting an LGBT population of over 30,000.

On the first weekend in September 2012 (not in August this year due to the London 2012 Olympics) Brighton will host its annual Gay Pride event. Brighton Pride is a fantastic, diverse and welcoming event that brings Brighton to a standstill for a weekend of celebration more than 100,000 revellers traveling from all parts of the UK and further afield will attend the event.  This year’s theme, as voted by the general public is ‘The United Colours of Pride’ so get thinking about what your outfit will be!

The event will include a parade to start from Marine Parade, meander through the streets of the city whilst it makes it way to the party at Preston Park. Last year the party at the Park included fabulous performances from the likes of Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry and this year promises to be even bigger and better!  To keep up to date on this year’s Pride event, including potential ticket information please visit the official Pride website.
