Brighton Gay Pride
Brighton has long enjoyed a reputation as the most gay-friendly city in the UK, and it is home to some of Britain’s oldest and best gay venues. In a city with an LGBT population numbering over 30,000, it’s no surprise that the annual Gay Pride festival is the biggest free gay event in the whole of Europe.
The first weekend in August sees the city turned into the playground for more than 100,000 revellers, with a huge parade and open-air party turning Brighton into the gay capital of the world! This fantastic, diverse and welcoming event is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends old and new and investigate Brighton’s thriving gay scene. It’s nearly always sunny too!
2009’s theme is Pride Beside the Seaside, so pack your bucket and spade, find yourself the perfect crash pad with Brighton Short Breaks and throw yourself into the party of the year!
