There are a few very simple and straight forward guidelines for preparing your home to let to paying clients!
To ensure the clients maximum satisfaction and thereby encourage rebookings and good references we recommend the following:
- Keep the property as clear of your own personal belongings as possible.
- Remove your valuables
- Keep the property clean and tidy – exactly as you would hope to find a holiday home yourself
- Make sure the clients have all the facilities you have promised
- Make sure the clients aren’t usung family heirlooms as their crockery and utensils. Better to spend a few pounds on an IKEA set which can have items replaced cheaply and easily so any upset for your self is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Check the various insurance policies which are available on the market. These aren’t the right solutions for everyone as you may judge them to be too expensive – but make sure you look into them just in case they are what you need for peace of mind.
- Make a list of all the benefits a holiday in your property offers – what does the flat offer – whats nearby that the client might like to enjoy – whats available to do in the immediate area – all of these things will attract clients and ensure they get the most out of their holiday!
